Industrial Nanotech’s Nansulate coating provided a 35% reduction in energy consumption on hot food storage cabinets when applied. Testing was performed by Intermetro, a division of Emerson Storage Solutions. The Company is on the verge of receiving NSF Registration which would allow it to provide Nansulate for the Food and Service industry.

Industrial Nanotech, Inc., a company that specialises in nanotechnology innovation and product development, today announced that its Nansulate coating has been used by Intermetro, a division of Emerson Storage Solutions, to insulate its hot food storage cabinets. According to Intermetro, the cabinets experienced energy savings of 35% upon the application of Nansulate.

Intermetro, the world’s leading manufacturer of storage and transport products with offices in the US, Europe, Asia, Canada, and Mexico, supplies various solutions for major restaurant chains, hotels, hospitals, research centres and technology industries worldwide. The company manufactures several types of mobile food storage cabinets that it believes could reduce energy consumption by using Nansulate’s thermal insulation coating.

“Industrial Nanotech is working closely with Intermetro toward incorporating our coatings into OEM applications for their food storage cabinets. In fact, we are on the verge of receiving our NSF Registration, allowing us to provide Nansulate to the food and service industry, where we believe our products have several applications,” commented Francesca Crolley, VP of Operations and Marketing for Industrial Nanotech.

Nansulate is a product line of water-based translucent insulation coatings containing a nanotechnology-based material well–documented to provide thermal insulation, prevent corrosion and resist mould.
